Rebecca Healey

With over 25 years of experience in capital markets, Rebecca Healey founded Redlap Consulting Ltd in 2020 and launched MindfulMarkets.AI to guide market participants through the shift to AI-driven systems. The mission is to unite industry leaders in developing sustainable, community-led solutions for evolving market practices amidst rapid technological change.  

Rebecca’s work draws on a decade of collaboration with industry leaders, leveraging their expertise to drive advancements in trading technologies and market structure.  

Rebecca began her career at Credit Suisse in 1996, becoming Europe’s first registered electronic trader as part of the pioneering AES team led by Richard Balarkas. In 2009, she established the Middle East’s first Financial Services Roundtable in Bahrain as the UKTI’s Financial Services Representative, strengthening UK-Gulf ties.  

Returning to the UK in 2011, Rebecca’s research at TABB Group, founded by Larry Tabb, helped firms, exchanges, and policymakers navigate complex regulatory and technological changes. At Liquidnet, as Head of Market Structure from 2015, she worked with leading asset managers to develop automated solutions that enhanced execution performance and complied with evolving regulations.  

Rebecca is a member of the FCA and ESMA Secondary Markets Working Groups and volunteers with FIX as European Co-Chair and ISO, focusing on international standards in Financial Services (TC68) and Climate Change (CCCC).
